It offers sleeping for 12 with 5 bedrooms, 4 full baths and provides many excellent extras toward your comfort and vacation fun. Centrally air conditioned with a wall unit assist in the loft. Secured highspeed Internet via Mediacom.
Upon entering the cottage, you are welcomed with a colorful basket containing parking pass and great information to ease your way into relaxation!
The main (2nd) level includes a spacious sunroom with seating for eight, a living room with seating for nine, dining area, and a kitchen. The kitchen has local cookbooks, and a full pantry of staples and spices for those who choose to "cook-in". Grilling is permitted on the rear patio only, and there is an excellent variety of pots, pans and cooking gear available for the chef! The sunroom, with skylights, is located just off the dining/living area; it has a small table with seating for up to four children, or several teens or adults. Ten foot high, glass doors between the family room/dining area and sunroom (with TV/DVD combo) may be left open or it can be closed to provide a quiet refuge.
3 Bedrooms are on this main level: BR#1 is master bedroom suite which has Queen bed and full bath; BR#2 has a double bed; BR#3 has two Twin beds. Full bath in hallway serves these 2 bedrooms. Washer and dryer are closeted in that hallway as well. A stairway to the ground level gives entry to a very nice hideaway, which contains BR#4. This suite provides a sitting area with sliding doors that open to patio. A King bed in the bedroom and full bath with shower gives a vacationer everything they need for a beautiful evening and a quiet morning, away from it all.
Then, BR#5 is up the spiral stairway to the third level. At the top of the stairway is a reading nook with wicker chairs, overlooking the living room below. Through the doorway is the loft bedroom which sleeps 4 on trundled twin beds. A full bath with shower serves the loft area.
Outdoors, on the second level is a very comfortable deck with seating for six or more. A large ground-level deck, tucked behind the house and under the trees, provides a relaxing spot with dappled shade, table seating for four, three lounge chairs and two occasional chairs. A grill is provided for careful summer outdoor cooking.
On the ground level, under the house, is an outdoor shower, drying line, and a large, shaded cement parking pad for 2 cars.
Enjoy the luxury of wandering to the beach with only a towel in your hand: 4 beach chairs and an umbrella will be set up for you on the beach and removed for you at the end of the day! Additional chairs and an umbrella are available at the house, as well as an adult bike, 2 children's bikes, a tyke-bike, a baby pool for the beach or deck, and a variety of sand toys.
This home is provisioned beautifully and with much thoughtfulness - from kitchen duty to rainy day alternatives. Two TVs, video library, books, board games. Senior friendly accommodations for safety and comfort. Toddler friendly with a box of children's toys, a child booster seat, and a bed rail for a twin bed (suitable for a youngster recently out of the crib).
An early morning bike ride to pick up donuts and a newspaper is the perfect start to a great day for hose who rise early. Parents with children will enjoy the modern, well-equipped playground (about four4 blocks walking distance to the center of town) suitable for toddlers and elementary school children. The beaches at the end of the street are guarded and surf-fishing is permitted during early morning hours. After dinner take a stroll to Garfield Parkway for ice cream and nightly musical entertainment at the Bethany town boardwalk bandstand. Morning to night, this is an excellent cottage to enjoy the beauty and fun of a week at the beach in Bethany.
